Skills Required Primary (Must-Have)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade school education or machining certificate preferred.
  • Ability to operate CNC machine tools, including grinding and milling machines.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments including micrometers (/OD/Depth), calipers, pi tapes, and other inspection tools.
  • Ability to change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and problem-solving.
  • Ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
Secondary (Good to Have)
  • Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience.

Position Overview

The Machinist is responsible for operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. This role performs machining operations, quality inspections, routine equipment maintenance, and tooling adjustments while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality precision parts in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

CNC Machine Operation
  • Operate CNC grinding, milling, and other machine tools to manufacture precision components.
  • Produce parts according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Replace cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as required.
  • Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, materials, and accessories on machines.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Quality Inspection
  • Maintain high standards for close‑tolerance manufacturing.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
  • Complete required inspection reports and production documentation.
  • Ensure products meet quality specifications before release.
Production Support
  • Follow work orders, production priorities, and supervisor instructions.
  • Utilize critical thinking to solve machining and production issues.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining product quality.
  • Maintain organized and clean work areas.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Observe all machine safety procedures and regulations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Participate effectively in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining principles.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and inspection tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade school education or technical certification in Machining.
  • Previous CNC machining experience.
