MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN - PRODUCTION SUPPORT LEARN MORE THAN ONE PART OF THE PROCESS

Precision aerospace castings move through several critical manufacturing processes before they're complete. This position gives you the opportunity to learn and support more than one of them.

As a Manufacturing Technician at PCC Structurals - Carson City, you'll support production across Foundry, Investment Casting, and Heat Treat operations. Depending on production needs, you may help move and stage materials, operate equipment, prepare work areas, monitor processes, handle castings, and complete basic quality checks.

No foundry or aerospace experience? That's okay - we'll train you!

SCHEDULE:

SWING SHIFT, 4/10’S (Monday-Thursday): 12PM-8:30PM. This role is eligible for swing shift differential pay. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support production activities within Foundry, Investment Casting, and Heat Treat departments based on operational needs.
  • Learn to operate department-specific tools and equipment through hands‑on training.
  • Load, unload, move, stage, and transport materials, tooling, and castings throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, production preparation, and basic preventative maintenance activities.
  • Monitor production processes and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, or potential quality issues.
  • Perform basic visual inspections and quality verification activities.
  • Maintain part identification, lot traceability, and accurate production documentation.
  • Handle products carefully to prevent damage and protect product integrity.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 6S standards.
  • Work with supervisors, leads, and team members to support safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...
  • Enjoy active, hands‑on work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have mechanical aptitude and are comfortable learning new tools and equipment.
  • Can adapt when production priorities or department needs change.
  • Take safety, quality, and careful product handling seriously.
  • Can follow detailed work instructions and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Are dependable, communicate well, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, foundry, heat treat, or material‑handling experience - but it isn't required.
  • Want exposure to several critical aerospace manufacturing processes instead of only one production area.
BUILD EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE PLANT

This is more than a general production position. You'll develop practical knowledge across Foundry, Investment Casting, and Heat Treat while becoming a flexible resource who can support the areas where production needs you most.
We'll provide the training. You bring flexibility, mechanical curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
