Compensation:
Pay range $40.80 - $54.00 per hour.
Presbyterian is seeking a Charge Nurse on a Cardiac Specialty Care Unit (CSC). The Charge Nurse oversees patient care and leads the nursing team in a specialized cardiac care environment, coordinating care for patients with complex cardiac conditions and serving as a liaison between staff and management. The role involves supervising nursing staff, managing patient care plans, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.

Work Shift:
12 Hour Nights (United States of America).
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including post-surgical recovery, heart failure, myocardial infarctions, and arrhythmias.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, ECMO, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
- Administer medications, perform advanced cardiac assessments, and intervene in life‑threatening emergencies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Educate patients and families on managing cardiac conditions, including lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and recognizing warning signs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, dietitians, physical therapists, and case managers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
- BLS certification required at time of hire
