Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 pm – 4:30 am, with overtime when needed.
Pay: $19.36 per hour. 2nd and 3rd shifts receive a $1.50 hourly shift differential.
SUMMARYMonitors all quality assurance/food safety activities and makes recommendations and carries out corrections for improving quality departmental functions. Knowledge of food quality standards and procedures is vital and good attention to detail, strong communication skills & logical thinking. Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

- Perform related duties and provide support to the Quality Assurance Management.
- Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer‑service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Perform tests at specified stages in the production process, and test products for a variety of qualities such as temperature, defects, code dates, etc.; record results, review records, and report for accuracy and completion.
- Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Complete special projects assigned, work with the project team; help to resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; select corrective steps.
- Perform quality analysis of incoming dry goods for production. Verify specifications before startup and throughout production processes. Solve quality issues with production and other teams. Document key metrics for data analysis. Maintain calibration and logs of all laboratory instruments. Prepare laboratory equipment and solutions. Communicate directly with operators and production personnel. Analyze and sample production samples. Collect retention samples on a shift‑based basis.
