Position: Retail Store Manager - 2026

Pay

Hourly: $20.40 to $26.46 per hour. In addition to the hourly rate, Retail Store Managers can earn a lucrative monthly bonus, contributing to a major portion of total yearly income.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager with 2+ years of management and customer service experience (retail/sales is a plus). The Store Manager will be accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promote a positive/productive environment, lead, coach, develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, and maximize financial goals while managing customer relations and satisfaction. The role includes inventory control, asset protection, marketing, and product management across jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position reports to the District Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring all procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and system reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
  • Maintain operating standards meeting or exceeding First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned training and self‑development tasks.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Effective supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products in exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Store Managers work 45+ hours per week, based on business needs; hours not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate, able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Multi‑tasking ability in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented, strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and business sense.
