** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or designated personnel as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas while maintaining an armed presence that may help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious, unusual, and/or unauthorized activity in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.

+ Support emergency and security-related response efforts by following established procedures, assisting with controlled access, and providing clear information during incidents and/or evacuations.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ An armed guard card/license is preferred.

+ CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
