As a Copper Infrastructure Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and testing copper cables in various environments, including underground, aerial, and buried locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to copper repairs and maintenance, including splicing and faultfinding.
• Performing cable splicing in buried, underground, aerial, and building work sites.
• Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment, including meters like multi-meters and volt‑ohm meters, to ensure optimal performance.
• Conducting testing and turn‑up procedures for subscriber lines.
• Locating and repairing both aerial and underground cables.
• Joining, repairing, and rearranging cables and related equipment in various settings.
• Installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing telecommunication services, including POTS, Prism, Fiber, and DSL for residential and small business customers.
• Connecting wires and cables to terminals, frames, and attaching or detaching hardware as necessary.
• Performing continuity and conformance testing to ensure quality standards.
• Reading and interpreting customer service orders, technical diagrams, maps, and blueprints accurately.
• Receiving and executing service orders and repair tickets from supervisors, detailing the work to be performed.
• Working with color‑coded telecom wires and cables effectively.
• Interacting courteously and professionally with customers in person or over the phone.
• Collaborating with team members to achieve shared goals while being capable of working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
