As a Telecom Construction Equipment Operator, you’ll play a hands‑on role in installing critical phone and internet systems, working with specialized machinery while keeping safety and precision front and center.

Heavy equipment experience in construction is strongly preferred.

What you’ll do

No two days are exactly the same—but you’ll be responsible for:

  • Participating in Job Safety Analysis to start each site safely
  • Operating and maintaining heavy equipment with confidence and care
  • Digging trenches, pits, and potholes according to project plans
  • Setting up and maintaining safe, organized job sites
  • Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
  • Establishing safety perimeters to protect your team and the public
  • Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Supporting the team with additional tasks as needed
What you’ll need
  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Valid, non‑provisional driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with drill setup and design processes (preferred)
  • A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and getting the job done right
Physical demands of the role

This is a hands‑on, active position. You’ll regularly:

  • Work outdoors, sometimes in remote locations
  • Operate heavy equipment and vehicles
  • Bend, climb, stand, walk, and perform fine motor tasks

Occasionally, you may work in confined spaces, use ladders, or perform light computer work.
