8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 hrs./week | 30-minute lunch

The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs machinery, production equipment, and facility structures. This position will primarily perform painting duties while also completing minor maintenance tasks as needed.

• Maintain and repair machinery such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to the physical structures of the facility.
• Primarily perform painting while also completing minor maintenance work.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Conduct tests to locate mechanical system malfunctions.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to identify causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Use machine tools in installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Start devices to test their performance.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally talk, hear, taste, or smell.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
