PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment to ensure the facility's production equipment is fully operational at all times. This position helps ensure facility equipment and systems remain in good working condition, supporting uninterrupted production and the manufacture of quality products. Responsibilities include performing general maintenance and repairs to facility equipment and building systems, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling systems, and other related maintenance activities.
ESSENTIALDUTIES:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble equipment as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to repair equipment, components, and facility systems
- Assist Operations personnel in inspecting equipment and identifying maintenance and repair needs
- Assist Operations personnel in troubleshooting equipment and machine issues to determine appropriate repairs
- Perform general building repairs that do not require a specialized technician, including drywall repair, painting, door repairs, and maintenance of building fixtures
- Assist with the maintenance of facility systems, including plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and other building-related systems
- Help maintain equipment, replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supply inventories by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and receiving materials
- Support production and facility operations by responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Contribute to team goals and operational success by completing related tasks, projects, and other duties as needed
EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, power tools, electrical systems, and safe work practices
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and flexibility
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational demands
- Manufacturing plant environment
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet operational needs
- Moving mechanical parts
- Fumes and airborne particles
- Varying temperatures, including extreme heat
- Risk of electrical shock
- Vibration from machinery and equipment
- Loud noise levels
Employees may work with or be in the vicinity of epoxy/acrylate resins, organic solvents, and other manufacturing-related materials.
