RV Tech Camper Specialist - Custom Truck Accessories Carson

RV Tech — Truck Camper Specialist — Carson City, NVCustom Truck Accessories' RV and Truck Camper Center is hiring a full-time RV Tech to join our team. This role centers on our slide-in truck camper business: pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and upfits on new units, RV service work (primarily on truck campers), and some truck accessory upfit work when the shop needs it.

No RV-specific experience is required, though it's a plus — we're glad to train someone with a strong mechanical or install background.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new slide-in truck campers, verifying systems, fit, and function before customer delivery

Complete camper upfits, including tie-downs, wiring, plumbing hookups, and accessory installation

Diagnose and repair RV systems (electrical, plumbing, propane, appliances), primarily on truck campers

Support truck accessory upfit work as workload requires (wiring, suspension, tiedowns, wheels, tires, etc.)Follow proper procedures to ensure safe, clean, and consistent work Partner with sales staff to review work orders and ensure accuracy before starting jobs Communicate clearly with team members to keep jobs on track and customers updated

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday. Overtime available based on workload.

We carry a lineup of respected truck camper brands, including Scout, Host, and Northwood, alongside our work as the authorized Go Fast Campers (GFC) dealer and installer for the region.

That gives our RV team hands-on experience across everything from lightweight overlanding platforms to full hard-side campers. The RV side sits inside the larger Custom Truck Accessories business, which has served Reno since 1983 and later expanded to Carson City and Sacramento as a LEER Platinum Dealer, Thule 5-Star Master Dealer, and authorized DECKED dealer. Day to day, the work is about getting campers ready to roll and keeping them running once customers take them out.

What We're Looking For Mechanical aptitude and hands-on installation or repair experience (automotive, RV, marine, or related trades all welcome)
RV or truck camper experience is a plus, not a requirement

Comfortable troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and propane systems, or willing to learn

Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
