The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer – C2
BMC (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to join our Missile Defense Team in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
- Work with other industry partners as a key contributor to the design, development, and testing of Java-based applications in support of the C2
BMC applications. - Support full software development lifecycle including generating design artifacts, implementing software changes, supporting design and code reviews, software testing, and resolution of issues found during testing.
- Actively participate in agile planning and execution using established processes.
- Software Requirements and architecture development in support of MDS systems.
- Develop, select, tailor and deploy integration and test processes, tools and metrics.
- Execute and document integration and test activities and events.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- 2+ years of experience with backend development (Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, SQL Server).
- 1+ year of experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) or other software architecture and design modeling techniques.
- 1+ year of experience with Agile software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 1+ year of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience.
- 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of software development principles including OOP, design patterns, and testing/debugging techniques.
- Use of Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, and/or microservices in software development.
- Experience software performance optimization.
- Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.
- Security+ or equivalent certification within 60 days of starting.
- Missile defense domain experience, but not required.
- Knowledge of server-side development and message passing.
- Command and control system application development.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root causes, recommend and develop a solution.

Pay & BenefitsSummary Pay Range for Associate level: $99,450 - $134,550
Summary Pay Range for Experienced level: $126,650 - $171,350
Summary Pay Range for Senior level: $160,650 - $217,350
EducationBachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required.

Security ClearanceAbility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post‑start is required.
