Supply Technician

Overview

This position is located at Northern Nevada Correctional Center and is responsible for warehouse operations. The Supply Technician 2 supervises, schedules and evaluates the performance of employees, supervises offender workers, tracks and reconciles inventory, documents inventory loss, packs and returns damaged goods and incorrect items, receives, stores, issues and ships supplies, maintains receiving and shipping records, and operates equipment such as a forklift, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

This position may review and make recommendations to operational procedures to improve workflow and output, review, revise and approve desktop procedures, initiates informal bids and submits requisitions for supplies and parts, communicates and collaborates with vendors, the public, and staff in diverse roles and locations.

Supply Technicians participate in the procurement, receipt, storage, issuing, shipment, property control, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of assets.

Two or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties and graduation from high school or equivalent education.
