Position SummaryThe Student Assistant position at the Philanthropic Foundation provides crucial support in processing Purchase Orders (POs) and chargeback invoices related to scholarships. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, contributing to the Foundation's mission of supporting students through scholarship programs. The Student Assistant will also provide general administrative support, making this position essential to the Foundation's operational efficiency.
Hourly Rate: $18.00 – Non‑benefited Student Position
Duties and Responsibilities- Process Purchase Orders (POs) for Philanthropic Foundation scholarships.
- Assist with processing chargeback invoices related to scholarship payments.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Provide general administrative support to the Philanthropic Foundation as needed.
- Processing Purchase Orders (POs): 50%
- Processing chargeback invoices: 30%
- Collaborating with PF team: 15%
- General administrative support: 5%
The following describes the ideal experience and attributes a successful candidate will offer:
- Must be a current California State University Dominguez Hills student.
- Majoring in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize technology/computerized systems to increase efficiency, including Adobe Sign, Dropbox, Zoom, Excel, word processing, e‑mail, internet, internal and external website portals, etc.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with TAP, the University, and the California State University System.

Employee at TAP is on an at‑will basis and can be terminated by either an employee or TAP at any time with or without case or advanced notice. Permanent status cannot be obtained nor granted.
