Under the general supervision of the Academic Resource Manager for the College of Arts and Humanities, the College Support Coordinator coordinates clerical and administrative functions in support of the dean's office and college departments. The position requires the ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities, establish priorities, interpret and apply a variety of academic policies and procedures, and communicate effectively with faculty, students, staff, and external constituents through in-person interactions, telephone, and electronic communication.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial and business related support
- Coordinate administrative support tasks and maintain confidentiality on all matters.
- Serve as receptionist and provide office support
- A high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience, equivalent to three years.
- Thorough, detailed knowledge of the university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to set work priorities and handle multiple projects.
- Ability to handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
Prior university experience in an academic setting.
Professional clerical training or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a program-related major.
Use of word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
Use of computer network systems and applications.
