Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Specialist to support, customize, and optimize the Business Central environment. A key focus of this role will be the migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central, including planning, data migration, system configuration, testing, and post-go-live support. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with deep Business Central experience who can guide the organization through a successful ERP transition while ensuring business continuity and long‑term system efficiency.
Responsibilities- Configure, customize, and support the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment
- Partner with stakeholders to understand and document business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, accounting, sales, and administrative functions
- Translate operational needs into Business Central solutions and collaborate with developers to implement them
- Support process improvements, designing, system testing, and deployment in Business Central
- Create user guides, SOP’s, and training materials for workflows and new features.
- Lead hands‑on training to drive system adoption across multiple locations
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Business Central
- Perform troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and end users
- Serve as a functional liaison between users and IT, ensuring clarity in requirements and solutions.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues, working closely with technical teams to ensure timely resolution
- Perform ongoing and regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience with BC customization
- Experience with migration to Business Central is a plus
- Experience with process design, workflow optimization, and documentation
- Proficient with BC reporting tools (Power BI, Jet Reports, or similar)
- Experience with manufacturing modules, including BOMs, routings, MRP, production scheduling, and inventory management
- Strong communication and training skills; comfortable working directly with end users
- Ability to gather requirements and communicate solutions clearly
