Responsibilities
  • Develop plans based on customer specifications.
  • Provide rate quotes to clients.
  • Review processes and implement new procedures.
  • Assist teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues.
  • Prepare and monitor various Customs compliance and broker management reports.
  • Train, coach, and supervise team members.
  • Manage Post Entry reviews and perform audits.
  • Utilize understanding of appropriate processes to resolve problems according to industry standards.
  • Monitor AP/AR discrepancies and address accounting issues.
  • Address disciplinary and performance issues and complaints as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Customs Broker License preferred.
  • Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where standardization is limited.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
