The Department of Graduate Education at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), invites highly qualified, motivated, and well-organized applicants for part-time teaching appointments.

Educational Leadership for Justice (ELJ) Program
The ELJ faculty are dedicated to preparing executive leaders in the Los Angeles region who focus on liberatory justice in education. The program uses an integrated, inquiry-based, problem-solving curriculum that combines discussions, research, and fieldwork, fostering a social justice agenda and instructional improvement through data-informed practices.
The Position
The temporary faculty pool is open continuously; positions are filled as needed based on enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to start teaching on short notice. We welcome applications from experienced, student-centered individuals for doctoral-level courses. The fall term runs from late August to mid-December; the spring from mid-January to mid-May. Summer teaching opportunities may also be available.
Responsibilities
- Teaching courses within the ELJ Program
- Collaborating with full-time and part-time faculty
- Supporting students with writing and research
- Providing guidance and mentorship to promote student success; serving weekly office hours based on assigned load
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Ed.D in Educational Leadership or a related field
- Experience in teaching at P-12, community college, or university levels, or relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of policies affecting education across K-12, college, and higher education
- Ability to work effectively with students from marginalized groups using innovative teaching methods
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and effective use of technology
- Experience working with diverse adult learners who are working professionals, using inclusive strategies
- Experience with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous university-level teaching and industry experience
- Commitment to justice, equity, and inclusive education
- Experience with anti-racist pedagogy and social justice teaching
- Active participation in professional organizations
- Knowledge of the Ed.D. program and educational leadership
Employment Requirement
A satisfactory background check is required. Conditional offers may be rescinded if disqualifying information is found. The CSU prohibits employment outside California for CSU-related work.
Salary and Benefits
Initial rank and salary depend on experience and education, typically Lecturer A or
