Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the production of prototypes, test units and subsequent manufacturing and testing to meet quality standards and planned schedules for delivery within target cost parameters.
• Design and prepare product drawings, operations sheets, process instructions, and maintain to latest revisions.
• Determine manufacturing methodology and rates, material requirements, coordinate processing products with secondary operations suppliers, and enter into business management system.
• Coordinates with various departments to integrate new products into the manufacturing system, and improve existing products by providing support on equipment, tooling and processes.

Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and validate design.

Prepares or coordinates preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings.

Plans and designs trials, coordinates test programs and evaluate test results.

Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to simulate manufacturing processes.

• Analyzes test data and cycle time to determine if design and process meets functional and performance targets.

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 on an annual basis.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master of Science degree (MS) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or a related technical discipline
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• CAD Design/Modeling tools (preferred Solid Works)
• Strength of materials(metallurgy), heat treatment, coatings.
