Ducommun is seeking summer interns to join our team for a 10-week internship, from 05/25/2026 to 07/31/2026.
Who are we?
Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. Starting as a hardware supply store during the California Gold Rush and eventually assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to early aerospace pioneers like Lindbergh, Douglas and Lockheed.
Today Ducommun is a global provider of innovative manufacturing solutions for customers in the aerospace, defense and industrial markets. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications.
Our Facility in Carson, CA is our Engineered Products Group location, which houses our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, Radio frequency Departments.
Job Summary
* Communicate with suppliers on order status, update open order reports and delivery dates in MRP and escalate issues to internal stakeholders
* Review inventory levels of consumable material and work to enhance existing VMI programs to minimize risk of shortages
* Streamline the process for maintaining the Approved Supplier List with the objective of creating a portal that allow suppliers to update and maintain their own survey information.
Required
Skills and Qualifications
* Proficiency with computer usage and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of Supply Chain principles
* Strong analytical, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams and present actions and information to stakeholders.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and documentation skills.
Required Experience and Education
* Upper-level student studying Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or similar from an accredited College or University.
* Must be continuing education post internship.
* Must be a US Person
Base Compensation: USD 21.00 - 22.00 Paid Hourly
