Lead AV Commissioning Engineer

AV Planners is seeking a Lead AV Commissioning Engineer with strong experience in QSC Q-SYS and Crestron systems to help lead the deployment and commissioning of high‑end commercial AV projects throughout Southern California.

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, client‑facing, organized, and confident leading projects in the field. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering polished systems and a great client experience.

• Lead commissioning and final deployment of commercial AV systems
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize QSC Q‑SYS and Crestron environments
• Work closely with engineers, programmers, project managers, and installation teams
• Interface directly with clients during testing, training, and project closeout
• Perform system verification, DSP tuning, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate punch‑list items and ensure projects are completed to a high standard
• Support site walks, turnover meetings, and technical problem‑solving
• Assist with Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms deployments

• Strong hands‑on experience with QSC Q‑SYS and Crestron systems
• Experience commissioning conference rooms, boardrooms, training spaces, and collaboration environments
• Ability to troubleshoot AV, control, audio, video, and basic network‑related issues
• Professional communication skills with clients and internal teams
• Organized, self‑motivated, and dependable
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Southern California

• QSC Q‑SYS certifications
• Crestron certification experience
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms
• Understanding of AV networking and enterprise environments
• Experience working in high‑end corporate environments
