Howmet Aerospace - 900 East Watson Center Road - Responsibilities:
Performs metallurgical and/or mechanical testing on manufactured products;
Uses instrumentation and control systems including static/dynamic strain measurement, temperature control and measurement, atmospheric effects, hardness testing, load cells, tensile testing, x-ray plating, hydrogen determinator, fatigue, stress rupture;
Troubleshoots faulty equipment and investigates suspect test data;
Performs mechanical testing and reports results;
Performs special testing procedures and programs and investigates customer returns;
Maintains test equipment and calibrates instruments;
Provides technical guidance to laboratory technicians;
Tests samples to verify conformity to specifications
