Job Description The Industrial Engineer 1 contributes to Cabin industrialization deliverables as part of the integrated program team. Assist in effective industrialization of each new program. Provide Industrial Engineering support and coordination during the development of aircraft interior components. Participate in determining most cost effective methods to create products.

Summary of Duties:
1. Contribute to Cabin industrialization deliverables on new programs as part of the integrated program team
2. Contribute to development and execution of Industrialization plans in accordance with Cabin standards and program goals
3. Assist in creating the production element of the industrial dossier, mainly Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Routers, Standardized work instructions (including operation's allocated time)4. Work with the Design and Manufacturing teams to develop optimal production processes for each product type
5. Provide feedback to Design group for DFMA (design for manufacture and assembly)6. Assist in integrating the design, manufacture and implementation of new tools or prototypes from the tooling engineering teams on the new program
7. Develop Cycle time and Takt Time standards.
8. Maintain industrialization metrics in line with Cabin standard KPI's and communicate performance on a regular basis
9. Perform basic analysis and manage industrial process and product risks during development
10. Champion and implement Lean principles - White Belt Level
11. Know and understand regulatory requirements, customer specifications and company specifications
12. Understand and assist with machining, assembly lines, BOM creation, line layout concepts
13. Be conversant with many site manufacturing procedures
14. Understand engineering drawing and how they relate to manufacturability
15. Working knowledge of assembly line and composites manufacturing
16. Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements Level 1

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year related experience in highly regulated engineering design or production environment.

Computer

Skills:

• Basic understanding of ERP systems
• Basic functional knowledge of CATIA V5 & Smarteam
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Other

Skills:

• Experience working at an aircraft or other aerospace OEM
• Knowledge of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry
• Proven ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and models
• Knowledge of LEAN tools
• Basic organization and communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally with significant oversight and review
• Basic communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of primary processes like CNC machining, Layup and Crush Core But what else? (advantages, specific features, etc.)Additional Preferred
