The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Toro Auxiliary Partners was established in 1968 to serve as a strategic partner of the university. The Auxiliary provides essential services, supports innovative programs, and enhances initiatives that are integral to the university’s educational mission.

Founded in 1960, CSU Dominguez Hills is one of 23 campuses in the California State University system. The university is recognized for its rich diversity and serves as a vital educational hub for the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. Its mission is to foster academic excellence and community engagement in a dynamic, metropolitan environment.

This intern helps the Reentry Entrepreneurship Accelerator (REA) show up clearly and consistently in public — keeping the project website up to date, posting on social media, and turning complex project updates into content anyone can understand. The REA is a grant-funded design pilot building an entrepreneurship credential pathway for justice-impacted adults in California, supported by Jobs for the Future and College Futures Foundation.

This is a part-time, non-exempt, non-benefited position.

Employment at Toro Auxiliary Partners is on an at-will basis and can be terminated by either an employee or Toro Auxiliary Partners at any time, with or without cause or advance notice. Permanent status can neither be obtained nor granted.

$20.00 per hour

• Help build and keep the project website up to date using no-code or AI-assisted tools
• Apply accessibility standards to web content — clear headings, image descriptions, readable on any device
• Post project updates and partner highlights on social media accounts
• Write short, plain-language content explaining what the project is doing and why it matters
• Create simple graphics and slide content for meetings and presentations
• Tag partners and relevant organizations to grow the project's reach online
• Help prepare accessible materials for Advisory Board meetings and funder updates
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Currently enrolled undergraduate student at CSUDH
  .
• Experience:
  
  Active on at least one social media platform (Instagram, Linked In, or similar). No prior professional experience required.
• Skills:
  
  Clear written communication; ability to write for a general audience without jargon; basic comfort with digital tools; willingness to learn no-code website and AI-assisted content tools; attention to accessibility and plain-language standards.
• Other:
  Respect for the dignity and privacy of justice-impacted individuals. Lived experience with the reentry process is welcomed and valued.

Not to exceed 20 hours per week
