The Sanitation Supervisor role oversees the dismantling and cleaning of manufacturing and packaging equipment. This includes guiding the sanitation team in both minor and major cleans, delegating responsibilities, supervising a team of 35 to 40, and training team members on safety, efficiency, and proper cleaning practices. The position requires ensuring MSS is completed as scheduled, and supporting cleaning and sanitizing by working alongside the team when staffing demands arise.

The Sanitation Supervisor must use approved chemicals and follow safety guidelines, have basic knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, SQF, FDA, GMP, GDP, and know how to complete RCA/CAPA/NCR/CAR. The role includes identifying harborage points, high-risk areas, and creating mitigation strategies, and requires adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. The Sanitation Supervisor reports to the Manager and must manage time responsibly.

1 Opening for our La Cienega Plant located at 3423 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016.

The pay range at commencement of employment is expected to be between $75,000 - $85,000 per year; base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

• Supervise a multi-faceted team of 35 – 40 team members.
• Supervise day-to-day sanitation functions, ensuring processes are in accordance with SSOPs.
• Ensure MSS related tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Review and retain sanitation documentation, identifying gaps as needed.
• Maintain Process/Cleaning Log Books/Binders; ensure all steps of the Manufacturing Cleaning directions are followed per See’s SSOPs and cGMPs.
• Delegate responsibilities according to company needs.
• Create or update SSOPs to reflect best practices.
• Disassemble, clean and sanitize processing equipment such as hoppers, mixers, enrobers, swecos, conveyors, scoops, and related components as directed by the Manager.
• Measure and mix cleaning and sanitizing solutions per instructions from the Sanitation Manager/Chemical Provider.
• Maintain a basic understanding of GFSI, HACCP, FDA, SQF, GMP, and GDP.
• Maintain supervision of the Pest Management Program.
• Read and maintain CIP readouts; troubleshoot CIP issues.
• Read, write, and understand English to write routine reports and necessary correspondence.
• Perform basic arithmetic and measurements as required.
• Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; use practical judgment.
• Climb stairs, ladders, and work in tight spaces safely and efficiently.
• Stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Assist in collecting Environmental Program samples.
• Bilingual preferred.

• 3 years of Supervisor experience
• 1-2 years sanitation experience
• 1-2 years working in a food manufacturing facility
• Familiarity with Production environment or Packaging experience is a plus
• Familiar with GMPs
• High School Diploma or Equivalency
