- Perform electrical, mechanical, and lighting assembly and testing using standard and specialized test and measurement equipment in a manufacturing production environment.
- Follow standard work instructions and operating procedures.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and test equipment.
- Test faulty equipment and inspect mechanical and electrical units.
- Diagnose malfunctions of units and make corrective adjustments.
- Repair or replace defective units and adjust equipment or machines.
- Prepare wires: abrading, etch, prime, and pre‑coat wires and connectors.
- Handle work parts or components requiring special care and good dexterity.
- Make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting, etc., within established guidelines.
- Interpret instructions to mix epoxies and paints for marking and bonding.
- Document all technical assembly and test processes with calibrated tools and equipment.
- Verify quality of work, including assembly, solder, and lighting quality.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Properly handle and manage hazardous waste generated in the work area.
- Wear mandatory safety glasses in production locations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings/specifications.
- Effective use of high school basic math and algebra.
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Team‑oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
- Preferred knowledge of solder systems, wire strippers, and crimpers.
- Vocational, high school diploma, or general education degree (GED), or
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
