In the role of Repair & Overhaul Technician I you'll play a pivotal part on our Repairs team, performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data, manufacturer instructions, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data approved by the FAA.
Responsibilities- Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation articles according to current technical data and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize assembly tools, equipment, and mechanical and visual aids applicable to the scope of work assigned.
- Understand methods, techniques, and practices outlined in manufacturer's maintenance documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, service letters, specifications, and other FAA-approved data.
- Apply and handle sealants and adhesives.
- Maintain assigned areas organized and clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in FAA Drug and Alcohol Program.
- Basic math skills and ability to comprehend varying units of measure.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and take initiative.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read, comprehend written and process specification documents.
- Computer skills to access CMMs, drawings, etc.
- Specific FAA required training.
