Join our first‑class team to reinvent in‑flight experience. In the role of Repair & Overhaul Technician I - 2nd Shift you'll play a pivotal part on our Repairs team. Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
Inspector(s) are responsible for performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in‑process and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
- Provide verbal and written status of repair progress
- Apply and handle sealants and adhesives
- Perform complex acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment
- Keep assigned areas organized and clean in accordance to required standards such as but not limited to 5S
- Read and comprehend written process specification documents
- Participate and support regular organized team meetings, such as but not limited to QRQC, morning stand‑up, etc.
- Provide on‑the‑job training in manufacturing and test methods to all Assemblers, Technicians and ATP Operators per Supervisor direction
- Utilize ERP system for daily transactions such as but not limited to recording labor hours, closing operations, etc.
- Utilize Sentry File to access engineering documents such as but not limited to drawings, ATP, ATR, etc.
- Utilize work instructions software such as Pro Works
- Read and comprehend schematics and work instructions
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Environment, Health & Safety requirements
- Support continuous improvement activities such as but not limited to shadow board tools, re‑layout area, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance as directed on tools, tooling and equipment
- Support other operations areas as needed and directed by Supervisors and/or Managers
- Must possess basic math skills and be able to comprehend varying units of measure
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and take initiative
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to read, comprehend written and process specification documents
- Computer skills to access CMMs, drawings, etc.
- Ability to use hand tools
