Job Overview
The CNC Waterjet Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CNC waterjet cutting equipment to shape and cut various materials with accuracy and efficiency.
Pay Rate: $19.25 - $25.80/hour DOE.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate water jet cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Adjust machine parameters such as pressure, speed, and nozzle settings to achieve precise cuts.
- Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
- Perform test runs and adjust settings to meet specifications.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust for optimal results.
- Inspect and measure finished products for accuracy and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and daily checks on equipment.
- Maintain accurate job logs, routers, and related documentation.
- Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety standards.
- Support team scheduling, training, and workflow coordination as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certificate or diploma from a trade school (preferred).
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
- Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as required.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work.
- Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to machine noise, coolants, and electrical equipment.
- Proper PPE required.
