EDM Operator (2nd Shift)
The Wire EDM Operator is responsible for operating electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment to produce precision components according to specifications. Pay range: $20.00 - $27.00 DOE
A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
- Set up, and operate EDM machines
- Inspect parts produced to verify conformance to quality standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure that it is running properly.
- Choose correct program and enter all necessary parameters into machine control
- Clean and conduct preventative maintenance of machines
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, height gage, and indicators.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a Wire EDM machine
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes
- Background in R&D, prototyping, or high-mix environments
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
