Akkodis is seeking an Assembler for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA
. The client is ideally looking for an Assembler with hands-on experience in assemblies in an aerospace or aircraft manufacturing environment
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description:
This position requires performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes for aircraft parts in a manual manufacturing assembly line environment.
Summary of Duties:- Use basic assembly tools, instruments and equipment daily in the production of assemblies.
- Use standard assembly hand tools, common power tools and continuity test equipment such as ohm meters.
- Apply and handle conformal coatings, sealants and adhesives.
- Perform less complex acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment.
- Work in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Keep assigned work area organized and clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or experience/knowledge as determined by management
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment or equivalent business environment
ComputerSkills:
- Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills:
- Must have excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- Must be proficient in soldering small wires, parts and components.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Must be proficient with all basic hand tools, ohm meters and basic power tools.
- Must be proficient with soldering and de-soldering equipment.
- Must have experience and training to IPC-J-STD-001 (Requirement for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).
- Must have experience and training to IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies).
- Must have experience and training to IPC-A-620 (Requirements & Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies).
- Must have the ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics.
- Must have the ability to deal with standard tolerancing (allowances, limits and fits) and perform advanced math calculations.
- Must have a complete knowledge of related aircraft hardware as it relates to rivets, screws and bolts (NAS, MS, An, etc.).
