Press Operator
Location:
Carson, CA Pay Rate: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday
Hours:
5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

We're hiring a Press Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain printing press equipment while helping mentor junior team members. If you have strong mechanical skills, printing press experience, and a commitment to quality and safety, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training in printing, manufacturing, or industrial operations is a plus
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of press operating experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing or print production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of press setup, operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, or printing press equipment preferred
- Ability to mentor and train less experienced operators
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Set up printing presses by loading inks, rolls, and production materials
- Adjust press settings to meet production specifications
- Operate and monitor printing presses to ensure high-quality output
- Inspect printed materials for defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical and production-related problems
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams
- Load and unload rolls, sheets, and production materials
- Assist with stacking, sorting, and packaging finished products
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records
- Support inventory management of printing supplies and materials
- Lead, mentor, and assist junior press operators
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings
- Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move production materials as needed
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical stamina to support production goals and deadlines
