• Diagnosing and treating a range of acute, chronic, and episodic illnesses, either in conjunction with physicians or independently per your credentials
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, prevention strategies, and managing various conditions
• Prescribing medications and implementing therapies in accordance with your state's regulations

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
