Job Summary

A growing organization in Carson, CA is seeking an experienced Safety Training Coordinator for a direct hire, in-office opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands‑on safety professional who enjoys training employees, identifying workplace risks, supporting compliance, and helping build a proactive safety‑first culture.

The Safety Training Coordinator will work closely with Human Resources, managers, drivers, warehouse teams, and operational employees to deliver safety training, conduct audits, support investigations, and reinforce best practices across multiple work environments. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety and operational audits to identify hazards and support compliance with OSHA requirements, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and deliver new‑hire safety training, ongoing employee training, forklift training, and light‑truck driver training.
  • Train drivers and employees on proper loading, material securement, tie‑down procedures, equipment use, and safe work practices.
  • Partner with Human Resources and management on workplace accidents, incidents, investigations, safety violations, and corrective action follow‑up.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, training documentation, inspection records, compliance materials, and related reporting.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable safety resource for employees and managers while helping promote a positive safety culture.
Compensation and Benefits

  • In‑office position in Carson, CA.
  • Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year total compensation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Conduct safety audits, operational inspections, and hazard assessments across warehouse, distribution, branch, and operational environments.
  • Deliver hands‑on safety training, forklift training, driver safety training, and post‑incident follow‑up training.
  • Support workplace accident, incident, and safety investigations in partnership with Human Resources and management.
  • Maintain safety documentation, training records, inspection records, and compliance materials.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in workplace safety, safety training, operations, warehouse, distribution, transportation, construction, or a related field.
  • Current Certified Forklift Trainer certification is required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and general workplace safety practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills with the ability to train employees at all levels.
  • Ability to identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and clearly communicate safety expectations.
  • Experience documenting and assisting with workplace accident, incident, and safety investigations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and recordkeeping accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources, management, drivers, warehouse employees, and operational teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between company locations as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn safety and training systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting safety programs in warehouse, distribution, transportation, construction, plumbing, pipe fitting, or skilled trades environments.
  • Experience working across multiple facilities or branch locations.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or additional safety‑related training is a plus.
  • Background training light‑truck drivers on loading, securement, tie‑down procedures, and equipment safety.
  • Experience helping improve safety culture through employee coaching, manager support, and proactive risk prevention.
