Position Overview
A growing global logistics provider is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and strategic account development. This individual will play a key role in expanding market presence, building long-term customer relationships, and delivering customized transportation and supply chain solutions.
The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or third-party logistics (3PL) services and a proven ability to generate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Business Development- Prospect, identify, and secure new business opportunities within target markets.
- Support company growth initiatives through proactive sales efforts and relationship-building activities.
- Develop opportunities through networking, referrals, industry contacts, market research, and inbound inquiries.
- Manage sales activities throughout the entire business development cycle, from lead generation to contract execution.
- Achieve established sales objectives and revenue targets.
- Maintain and manage an active pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
- Prepare customer proposals, pricing packages, and transportation solutions tailored to client needs.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new customers and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect and customer activity within CRM and business management systems.
- Provide regular reporting and forecasting updates to leadership.
- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure successful implementation of client solutions.
- Assist in developing account-specific procedures and service requirements to support operational excellence.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and follow-through.
- 3+ years of business development or sales experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain services.
- Demonstrated success generating new business and closing opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving performance goals.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
