Position Overview
Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery is seeking an entrepreneurial, self-motivated Account Manager to join our team on-site in Carson, CA
.
In this role, you will act as the primary, trusted point of contact for strategic international and domestic accounts. This is an early to mid-career position (3 to 5 years of experience) perfect for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building cross-cultural trust, and possesses a strong understanding of Asia-to-U.S. supply chains. Because you will interact extensively with international customers and partners,
complete fluency in both Mandarin and English is required.
Location: On-site at our Carson, CA facility (Not remote)
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year
Schedule: Primarily 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST, with flexibility required to support international customers across multiple time zones.
Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (including China) as business needs require.
Serve as the primary, trusted point of contact for assigned strategic customers, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts and actively support new business development initiatives.
Cultivate deep, trust-based relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and long-term needs.
Work hand-in-hand with our warehouse operations team to ensure customer execution requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Learn internal warehouse operations thoroughly to effectively translate customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
Lead and participate in customer meetings, facility tours, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and operational discussions.
Maintain a high sense of urgency and accountability to resolve customer issues rapidly.
Take initiative to identify operational bottlenecks and propose process improvements to elevate the customer experience.
3 to 5 years of professional experience in account management, business development, customer success, or logistics sales.
Industry
Experience:
Direct experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, 3PL, transportation, or international trade is preferred.Supply Chain Familiarity: Experience working directly with importers, manufacturers, or Asia-to-U.S. supply chains is highly desirable.
Bilingual Fluency: Native or professional fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and verbal) is strictly required.
Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of, or strong interest in, Chinese business culture, with the confidence to navigate international business relationships smoothly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Experience utilizing industry systems such as CRM, ERP, TMS, and WMS
