Operating Engineer

Overview

Job Summary: We seek talented professionals to provide high-level expertise in maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting facility equipment and building systems. Our team values technical proficiency in multiple craft areas and a commitment to maintaining optimal performance across facility operations.

• Support facility activities by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, and control systems, ensuring building and track systems uphold required standards.
• Monitor and manage reactive work orders, update daily tasks in an electronic system, and coordinate with contracted specialists for urgent and operational needs.
• Maintain clean, safe environments by complying with safety policies, hazardous materials protocols, and organized recordkeeping for all work performed.
• Mentor other engineers, participate in team meetings, and help identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• At least five years of experience in commercial facility maintenance, with technical certification in a minimum of two craft disciplines such as electrical, HVAC, piping/plumbing, hydraulics, or central utility plant operations.
• Possession of CFC Universal Certification (HVAC) and ability to perform duties requiring physical exertion, such as lifting up to 50 lbs and using ladders up to 26 feet.
• Ability to operate multiple software programs and work order systems, manage tasks on a computer or smartphone, and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated dependability, professionalism, and the capacity to work independently and on an on-call rotational basis, including weekends as needed.
