Senior Electrical Technician
The Senior Electronics Technician performs technical work in the maintenance, repair, calibration and installation of various electronic equipment distributes and maintains laboratory test equipment for engineers; ensures efficient operation of laboratory environment; and arranges for repair and calibration of major equipment. Under general supervision, perform skilled duties in the soldering PCB components, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of equipment in the Electronics Laboratory;
maintain, troubleshoot and repair high power electronics products (up to 8KW) such as 3 phase power supply, motor drives etc., and perform related work as required.
MUST HAVE
Skills:
- Building and setting up Test Boxes (also called Breakout Boxes) To build the test boxes, candidate will need to know how to do cable/wire harnesses as they are part of the test box, as well as wire connections, install buttons for indicators, install a basic instrument control panel, drill some holes, and put connections in
Additional Strongly Preferred
Skills:
- IPC Certification
- High Voltage equipment (5 kW up to 45 kVA)
- Reworking PCBs / PCB Rework (soldering & desoldering components on PCB / PCBAs)
Work Environment:
- The role is fully onsite in a large production warehouse environment with cubicles, offices, and electronics lab area. Team members can start whatever time they like, though most come in between 5:30 - 9:30am. The only requirement is to work a standard 8-hour workday.
- The position offers opportunities to work on long-term engagements, with contracts commonly extended every six months and a strong likelihood of transitioning to a direct role over time, as many technicians remain for several years and can move into different disciplines within the organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
