They are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate$65k - $70k
Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close activities. This role partners with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Monitor/analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on accounting/finance matters.
- 2 – 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
- ERP experience (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, etc.).
- Month‑end close and audit support experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
- Experience in a multi‑entity and/or fast‑paced corporate environment.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
