Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Controllership team. This individual will be responsible for key areas of the monthly close process, including lease accounting, accrued liabilities, payroll accounting, bonus accruals, and financial reporting. • Prepare and reconcile monthly accrued liabilities across various operating expense categories.
• Review vendor contracts and ensure accurate expense recognition and period-end cutoffs.
• Support expense analysis and budget-to-actual reporting.

• Record payroll-related journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Manage bonus accruals and analyze payroll-related expenses.
• Ensure payroll accounting complies with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Meet monthly close deadlines while maintaining accuracy and strong documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Support SOX compliance and maintain strong internal controls.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Participate in accounting system enhancements and process automation initiatives.

• Assist with special accounting projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial reporting needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting or technical accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
