Description

Looking for a licensed, senior‑level infrastructure project manager who can independently deliver complex capital construction projects while managing a wide range of stakeholders and regulatory requirements.

Core Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing capital construction projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) in NY or NJ.
  • PMP certification is highly desirable and specifically requested.
Technical

Experience:

The strongest candidates will have managed projects involving:
  • Civil infrastructure
  • Transportation facilities
  • Port or maritime facilities
  • Waterfront construction
  • Roadways and bridges
  • Utility infrastructure
  • Building renovations or construction
  • Parking facilities
  • Demolition and site redevelopment
  • Environmental remediation / permitting
What They Will Actually Do

This is not a role focused on detailed design calculations; it's focused on delivering projects from concept through construction.

The day-to-day responsibilities suggest they want someone who can function as an Owner's Representative Project Manager.

Typical duties include:
  • Managing several projects simultaneously.
  • Developing scope, schedule, and budgets.
  • Coordinating consultants, contractors, tenants, operations staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Leading stakeholder meetings.
  • Resolving construction and design conflicts.
  • Securing funding approvals and permits.
  • Preparing executive‑level presentations and board documents.
  • Monitoring project delivery through:
    • Planning
    • Design
    • Procurement / Bidding
    • Construction
    • Close‑out
Soft Skills They Are Emphasizing:
The ideal candidate can:
  • Work independently with little supervision.
  • Manage competing priorities.
  • Navigate political and operational sensitivities.
