Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 Hourly
- Unload trucks that are delivering product materials purchased by Berje Inc.
- Label materials immediately after they have been unloaded.
- Conduct verification of the weights of materials received.
- Enter receipt of material deliveries into the computer system.
- Sample delivered materials (per SOP) and deliver samples to the QC Lab.
- Move delivered materials to appropriate warehouse inventory locations.
- Record material stock locations via scanner equipment into the computer system.
- Correct any errors in the IT system information detected by Department Management.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Dept. on any issues that must be handled with vendors.
- Pick finished goods products from inventory locations and stage these on the loading docks.
- Apply packing lists to each finished goods shipment.
- Inspect common carrier trucks for cleanliness, structural integrity, and driver Hazmat credentials.
- Physically load sales order shipments onto the common carrier trucks.
- Record loaded shipments into the AS400 IT system.
- Assure that common carrier drivers sign off on Berje shipment documents.
- Clear Production Area finished goods of containers and place in warehouse inventory.
- Consolidate inventory in shipping warehouse areas.
- Brace products on pallets for Export shipments.
- Follow all safety rules/procedures and maintain an accident and injury free on‑job record.
- Comply with all relevant SQF procedures and regulations.
- Support the company in achieving established performance and operational goals.
- Contribute to the department’s ability to meet targeted productivity, safety, and quality goals.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience.
- Safety Certifications required.
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both written and verbal with diverse work groups.
- Highly organized and able to multi‑task in a fast paced environment.
- Team oriented, yet able to work independently.
- English language reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
- Computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze regulatory requirements for specific orders.
- Communication and interpersonal skills for working cooperatively in a team environment.
The employee must be capable of regular standing for extended periods, walk frequently, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb during an 8–12 hour shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of materials on a repetitive basis.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may handle aromatic chemicals, solvents, oils, or mixtures and must wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye protection, gloves, uniforms, and safety shoes. The noise level is moderate. Physical demand requirements are consistent with those of active industrial work.
