Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift (Bilingual English/Spanish)

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising labor management and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. Responsibilities include hiring and training, performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor manages the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products to meet company service and cost objectives.

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily or weekly work activities and plan continuous improvement.
• Inform senior management and client representatives of critical operational issues.
• Develop systems and procedures to manage operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably in accordance with company policies.
• Implement cost‑saving measures and provide suggestions for operational efficiency.
• Meet client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements.
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques to supervise and discipline team members.
• Support Human Resources, assist with hiring, training and professional development, and participate in performance evaluation for promotions and wage decisions.
• Train and evaluate warehouse staff.
• Plan daily work schedules based on orders, arrival notices and customer instructions.
• Review pending jobs, reorganize warehouse space, and assess staffing or equipment needs.
• Delegate training responsibilities and assess trainee progress.
• Maintain awareness of job quantity and quality, providing guidance as needed.
• Hold regular meetings with warehouse staff to assess status and discuss improvement ideas.
• Assist in physical operations when required.
• Deliver results by leveraging appropriate personnel at the right time.
• Maintain high motivation levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members.
• Record and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Support and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both corporate and client requirements.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, distribution or related environment.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Preferred: MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation.

• Completion of a forklift training program.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.

• English – reading, writing, verbal.
• Spanish – reading, writing, verbal (required).
• Business communication proficiency.

• Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, inventory counts, and related tasks.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
• Participate in cross‑training metrics activities and serve as a backup when necessary.
• Work overtime as required by business.
• Work in unregulated temperature ranges typical of a warehouse environment.
