Job SummaryThis position provides cashiering support for the GHC business office ' Student Financial Services.
ResponsibilitiesIs responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
Receipts all payments to business office
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers as appropriate to others
Processes all bank deposits
Manages petty cash reconciliations
Assists in billing of past due accounts
Maintains daily reports and bank deposit receipts
Performs other duties as assigned
Required QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a program of study at Georgia Highlands College. A business pathway is preferred.
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a High School diploma or equivalent, while currently in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Proposed Salary$12.00 per hour
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of modern office practices and procedures
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; not required but preferred
Skill in timely decision making and problem solving
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
Skill in oral and written communications, time management, organizational skills
