Quick Lube Maintenance Technician

Full-Time

We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Quick Lube Maintenance Technician to join the service team at Pugmire Ford of Cartersville.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced position focused on routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, multi‑point inspections, and other basic maintenance needs. It’s also a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their automotive skills and grow within a Ford dealership service department

Responsibilities
  • Perform oil and filter changes and other routine maintenance services
  • Check and top off vehicle fluids as needed
  • Perform tire rotations and check tire condition and pressure
  • Inspect brakes, belts, hoses, filters, and other maintenance items
  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections accurately
  • Identify and communicate items that may require additional service or technician attention
  • Use shop tools and equipment safely and properly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Move and road-test vehicles when necessary
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Work closely with service advisors and technicians to keep vehicles moving through the service department
Requirements
  • Previous quick lube, automotive, or service department experience is a plus
  • Ford dealership experience or Ford certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop new skills
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate customer vehicles
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Positive, professional, team-oriented attitude
