Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial mechanical and HVAC projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents; performing detailed labor and material takeoffs; developing proposals; coordinating vendor and subcontractor pricing; and ensuring all estimates are complete and aligned with project scope.
Once projects are awarded, support project coordination through submittals, RFIs, procurement assistance, job cost tracking, and documentation management. This role is primarily office-based with occasional field visits for pre-bid meetings, site verification, and project support.
What We’re Looking ForAt least 5 years of commercial HVAC or mechanical estimating experience, with strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, construction practices, and estimating processes.
Comfortable reading construction plans and specifications, performing digital takeoffs, managing documentation, and working with estimating software such as FastEST, Quote Soft, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
Strong communication, organization, and vendor coordination skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license.
Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout, subcontractor buyout, scheduling, and job cost tracking.
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required for candidates with strong practical experience.
