Support young learners and make a difference as a School Social Worker in a contract role beginning in August 2026. You'll work part-time with K-5 students exhibiting moderate to intensive behavioral needs. With a collaborative atmosphere and a manageable caseload, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful intervention and support for both students and faculty.
Qualifications- Valid Ga SW Educator Certification
- Preferred:
Previous experience as a School Social Worker - Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to build rapport with children exhibiting behavioral challenges
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach
- Provide direct support, counseling, and intervention to K-5 students across four classrooms
- Work alongside teachers and staff to address students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Facilitate communication between families and school personnel
- Develop behavior intervention strategies and help implement targeted plans
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and district guidelines
- Serve as a resource for parents and colleagues, offering expertise and guidance on student welfare
This part-time opportunity (15 hours per week) offers you the flexibility to focus on an impactful caseload of approximately 24 students throughout the school year. The contract runs from August 5th, 2026 through May 26th, 2027, with potential for additional pre/post planning days.
