Title: Teacher – Science (HS) –
Location: Woodland High, Cartersville, GA
Starting Date: July 27, 2026
Job Details: 190 Days, 49% load, Certified Salary Schedule
Position Type: Full-Time
ResponsibilitiesEstablish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students in the classroom. Plan and implement effective lessons, using time, materials and resources effectively. Display a thorough knowledge of the high school science curriculum. Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences. Support the philosophy and mission of the Bartow County School System. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid, clear, renewable Georgia teaching certificate in Science (6-12).
- Ability and knowledge to effectively teach at the high school level.
- Previous teaching experience preferred, not required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
