Role Description

The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in College Park, GA, responsible for promoting and enforcing safety standards across all field and facility operations. This role involves conducting regular safety inspections, job site audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Safety Officer will develop, deliver, and update safety training programs, support incident and accident investigations, and maintain accurate safety documentation and reports.

Additionally, this role collaborates with project managers, supervisors, and crews to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and foster a proactive safety culture. The Safety Officer also participates in safety meetings, supports emergency response planning, and communicates safety expectations clearly to all team members.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Familiarity with Security practices related to job sites, equipment, and personnel safety.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training for diverse field and office teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30 (Construction or General Industry), CHST, or similar credentials are preferred.
  • Experience in the electrical utility or construction industry is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels.
  • Ability to work on-site in varying field conditions, travel to multiple job locations, and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
