Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition – Plant Controller (Solomon Edwards)

Overview: Join a growing manufacturing firm in Cartersville, GA as a Plant Controller. This contract‑to‑hire role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing finance professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is passionate about cost modeling, production accounting, and continuous process improvement.

• Lead month‑end close and variance analysis to budget and forecast.
• Prepare reports on production metrics and key performance indicators.
• Model product costs for changes, new launches, and improvement projects.
• Drive productivity reporting and year‑over‑year cost savings initiatives.
• Conduct economic cost studies for plant operations and capital projects.
• Monitor inventory control, fixed asset reconciliation, and cycle count adherence.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost visibility modernization.
• Educate plant teams on financial drivers and cost‑related processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Prior plant controllership experience required.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (Infor M3 a plus).

• Strong cost accounting and variance analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
• Hands‑on, collaborative, and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and ability to educate non‑finance staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

No travel will be required, unless at the client’s discretion.

The role may require mobility to attend in‑person meetings, sitting or standing for extended periods, and use of telephone, computer, or other electronic communication devices.

Hourly: $70.00 – $80.00 (range based on experience and qualifications).
